Thanks for the update/clarification and for your continued development of mela!
Nikolozi
Said van Hattum no problem, feel free to leave any specific details or requirements you want to see in a sequencer.

Nikolozi is this still on the table? I think i can speak for a lot of us that we are still looking forward to this one and the more arp modes.
Nikolozi
Said van Hattum yes, it's all on the table :)
I know a sequencer is a highly requested feature.
As there are a lot of ways to do a sequencer it will be released as a Mela Lab module and I will quickly iterate it based on feedback.

Would be great …let me know if you need some help with shaping this tool 😊

It would be useful if this module could live record, step record and param lock steps. The nature of Mela is I immediately wanted to live record parameters and tweak them. I can do this with Mela in Drambo but it would be elegant to offer this feature within Mela.

Should be In The category with the Arp feature. And also to have some kind piano grid style sequencer

I always for got to mention.. a scale mode added to the sequencer & arp. And also a scale feature for the keyboard
Nikolozi
Brandon Martinez: You could insert the Scale module to force the virtual keyboard's notes to a specific scale.
Edit: I realise you may have meant, only show the keys on the keyboard that belong to a specific scale, is that right?

Nikolozi: actually the first one you suggested was what what I was thinking of “To insert a scale module to force the virtual keyboard notes to a specific scale” is what I had in mind but didn’t know it was there

And I also my mind my came up with an idea while writing this, but possibly a custom module creator. But might be difficult to do. Maybe a module creator that other developers can help create and we could download them from PatchStorage as patches or the dev can just send the modules to you. But that would mean a big thing to pull off, which might not be possible. You know how 4pockets have their surface builder and NuRack or MiRack and Drambo, maybe something like that. But if other developers were to help you it’d probably be more easier on you
Nikolozi
Brandon Martinez: That's an interesting idea, I think maybe in the future it might be possible to create modules that are really a merged set of lanes and modules and can be expanded back to their original form if needed. I think Drambo does that sort of thing. But there will be no need for third-party developers, it should be easy enough for sound designers to create those custom modules. A bit like how anyone can create Ableton packs. But anyway, that's not a priority atm. There are a lot of modules that can be added to Mela in the meantime to make it even more versatile and with every update, I try to add new ones.
Also, I have this page, https://nikolozi.com/mela/artist-presets/ where anyone can submit their Mela presets.
