Add html colour for modules that also show on modulations

I use coloured emojis in the name to show linked things but being able to say add an #rrggbb tag to the name and it show the colour and modulations use that would be good to have (eg multiple LFOs might have their own colours simply set by rename)

Kevin Staunton-Lambert so I understand your use case better, ultimately, you want to be able to see which modulator is connected to which source. And for that, you use coloured emojis?

So say, you have LFO 1 controlling Oscillator 1's Level and LFO 2 is controlling Oscillator 1's Sync. if I understand correctly you want to give LFO 1 and 2 different colours.

Then would LFO 1 and 2 have different tints or they will have small indicators, like a coloured circle or rectangle next to the name?
How would that information be presented in Oscillator 1? Would it have circle/rectangle indicators somewhere on its UI? Or would the modulator indicators on dials (Level and Sync) have corresponding colours?

Nikolozi yep, but more the line colour indicates which modulator it’s coming from - if it’s my own patch then not a problem but if I load a new patch it would be good at a glance to see how it’s wired up, using colour is a simple way. Other synths have multiple rings/lines if more than one thing is modulating them but the aggregate sum of those how you have it is still useful - I’d say have both the summing and the factors as separate lines (for say first three modulations after that then hey you have to go look)

Kevin Staunton-Lambert IMO, multiple ring lines get out of control fast, but maybe there's a way to do something similar. I'll have to think about that.
If I understand correctly, your ultimate goal is being able to see at a glance what modulates what. Would a modulation matrix view of the entire preset be useful?
Also, just checking, you are aware of the "Edit Modulation" feature right? It lets you see all modulators that are modulating a given dial/parameter?

Nikolozi yeah edit modulation is great feature- I can get by ok with the emojis but at a glance is useful when loading other people’s patches - especially on iPhone scrolling about (which reminds me some additional zoom out steps might be good until adjusting)

Maybe instead of matrix it’s just a temporary glow of everything modulated whist triggers tab is open
